NASA's first asteroid sample on track for Sunday parachute landing in Utah
- The Osiris-Rex spacecraft is returning with samples it collected from asteroid Bennu, which will be dropped off on Earth by the NASA probe as it passes on Sunday.
- The weather balloons launched by meteorologists at the Utah Test and Training Range are being used to predict the location where the samples will be dropped.
- Once the samples arrive, they will be examined in a clean room at the Utah test range, then transported to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston to be distributed to scientists in 60 laboratories around the world.
