Okinawa has recorded the highest number of "midsummer days" with temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius or higher since records began this year. In Hikawa, Naha City, a temperature of 33.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at 12:18 pm on the 16th, bringing the total to 138, surpassing the previous record of 137 days in 2016.
