- Florence Uba explained that while the suspects attempted to hide the shipment by labeling it as vehicle spare parts, authorities discovered 277 cartons of counterfeit drugs inside. This seizure could have prevented approximately 500,000 Nigerians from being exposed to dangerous fake medications.
- NAFDAC Director-General Mojisola Adeyeye affirmed the agency's ongoing commitment, supported by the Presidency, to eradicate counterfeit medicines and ensure safe, quality drugs for Nigerians.
