The N-VA supports the plan of French President Emmanuel Macron to recognize Palestine as a state. This was stated by N-VA chairwoman Valerie Van Peel in De Ochtend on Radio 1. In doing so, the N-VA is now also taking a clear position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a topic that has been sensitive within the federal government for some time. According to Van Peel, the plan will soon be discussed at the government table.
