Former castle chancellor during the time of President Miloš Zeman, Vratislav Mynář, will receive compensation from the state for his prosecution in the subsidy case surrounding the boarding house in Auschwitz. The Ministry of Justice has awarded former head of the presidential office Vratislav Mynář 472,000 crowns for prosecution in the case of subsidies for the reconstruction of a boarding house in Auschwitz. Radiožurnál reported this on Monday. Mynář originally demanded approximately 1.9 million crowns. He faced up to eight years in prison for subsidy fraud and damaging the interests of the European Union, but the court acquitted him last January.
