Governor Signs NJCU-Kean Merger Bill
Under the new law, which passed the New Jersey Legislature last month after being fast-tracked through both houses, Kean will absorb all of the financially troubled NJCU’s debts and assets. NJCU will become Kean Jersey City, and its roughly 5,500 students will become Kean students.
