- Chennai Super Kings began its pre-season camp last week as part of IPL 2026 preparations, training at the High Performance Centre in Navalur under assistant coach Rajiv Kumar and assistant bowling coach S. Sriram.
- As part of pre-season, Mumbai Indians players such as Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar took part in the DY Patil T20 Cup after last year’s fourth-place finish led by Hardik Pandya, ending with an Eliminator loss to Punjab Kings.
- With CSK's unveiling, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and executives Shenu Agarwal and Dheeraj Hinduja appeared, and Ashok Leyland became official sponsor, sharing the record for most IPL trophies.
