Multiple Sclerosis Association of America Appoints New President & CEO
Montague, who served 21 years at MSAA, will guide strategic priorities focused on growth and impact, the organization said.
On Thursday, the Multiple Sclerosis Association announced the appointment of Amanda Montague, EdM, to the position of President and CEO in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Montague assumes the role following nine months as Interim President and CEO after serving MSAA for 21 years. Chair Jason Slattery stated "The right CEO provides vision and stability" in appointing her.
Previously serving as Chief Mission Officer, Montague holds an EdM from Harvard Graduate School and an MA in International Patient Advocacy Management from Catholic University in Rome, Italy. She reviews research for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
Montague expressed excitement to lead MSAA into its next chapter of growth, collaboration, and meaningful change while expanding programs that enhance care and treatment protocols for the community.
Multiple Sclerosis affects nearly one million people nationwide, with most diagnoses occurring between ages 20 and 50. MSAA provides resources including MRI funding, The Motivator magazine, and a Helpline to support this population.
