Five boats have been damaged and two have completely sunk in the last two weeks due to silting up at the Tadadi fishing port in Kumta taluk of Uttara Kannada district. The tragedy was caused by inadequate dredging work. Fishermen are suffering huge losses due to this and have demanded immediate action from the authorities.
