West Virginia motorists are now required to move over when encountering first responders, maintenance workers or disabled vehicles if they are on a highway with at least four lanes, or otherwise slow down. The requirement comes from House Bill 2344, which was passed by the West Virginia Legislature in the 2025 legislative session and takes effect on Friday, July 11, 2025.
