- Fleeing at high speed, the rider attempted to evade officers by maneuvering between concrete barriers at the Keating Cross Road on-ramp, where the motorcycle became stuck in the 6800 block of East Saanich Road.
- With assistance from Sidney RCMP, officers arrested the rider and his 31-year-old passenger; neither sustained injuries, and the passenger was released without charge.
- Central Saanich Police are recommending to Crown Counsel that the man face charges of flight from police and dangerous operation of a conveyance, plus violation tickets under the Motor Vehicle Act and a future court date in Victoria.
