COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In honor of Safe Sleep Awareness Month, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has released its child fatalities annual report. Investigators say last year (2024), the two most common types of cases for child deaths were unsafe sleep and gunshot wounds.
