- On Oct. 23, 2025, construction crews demolished much of the East Wing while an online poll conducted Oct. 24-28, 2025 via Ipsos KnowledgePanel captured public reaction.
- Intensity varies sharply among strong Trump approvers and strong Trump disapprovers, with 58% of the former strongly supporting and 82% of the latter strongly opposing the demolition.
- The poll completed 2,725 interviews, reporting a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 1.9 percentage points and a design effect of 1.08, with larger subgroup errors, ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos said.
