The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) have arrested a 55-year-old man for his alleged involvement in the violent death of a woman in an apartment in the Ciutat Meridiana neighborhood of Barcelona. Her body was found in an advanced state of decomposition, and they are investigating it as a possible case of gender-based violence.
The autopsy has certified that it is the body of a woman and that she was killed, and the Mossos are working on the hypothesis that it is a sexist crime.
