More Than Third of Flagler County's Renters Are Under Water as Florida Rents Increased 39% in 4 Years

A University of Florida study found that rent for multifamily units in Florida rose by 39 percent between 2019 and 2023, as 1 million households entered the state. In Flagler County, 4,478 renting households out of 12,000 total renting households--or 37 percent--are in that category.
