More than 780k Michigan voters have already voted two weeks out
More than 2.1 million Michigan voters have requested mail ballots for the November 3 General Election, representing a 17% increase compared to the same period before the 2022 midterm election.
Statewide early in-person voting begins this Saturday, October 24, with sites remaining open at least eight hours daily through Sunday, November 1, enabling broader voter participation across Michigan.
As of Tuesday, October 20, The Michigan Department of State reported 789,476 completed ballots returned, representing approximately 10.7% of the state's active registered voters.
Deputy Secretary of State Aghogho Edevbie urged voters to hand-deliver ballots to avoid postal delays, stating, "Now is the time to return your mail ballot if you have not already done so."
Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and Republican Mike Rogers are competing in the most expensive election contest in Michigan history, with campaign spending exceeding $243 million and projections it could surpass $300 million.
