More than 100,000 euros have been collected for Jeffrey and Emma's farewell on Thursday morning. The donations will go to the funeral of the two children. The crowdfunding started on Wednesday morning, at the end of the afternoon the counter was at 57,000 euros and in the evening at 90,000 euros.
More than 50,000 euros were collected on Wednesday via crowdfunding for Jeffrey and Emma's farewell. The money will be used to give the two "sweet children a dignified farewell", according to the fundraising campaign's website.
The death of the siblings Emma (8) and Jeffrey (10) shook the Netherlands and Emsland. Marleen Duit from Finsterwolde, himself connected to the family, launched a fundraising campaign – and collected over 116,000 euros. But this was not only welcomed positively.

A fundraiser for the funeral of 10-year-old Jeffrey and 8-year-old Emma, who were found dead along with their father—who had abducted them—in a canal in Winschoten, has now collected more than 109,000 euros of a targeted 180,000 euros.
To give the deceased Jeffrey (10) and Emma (8) a worthy farewell, a crowdfunding was set up yesterday. This morning the counter was already at over 100,000 euros.
