The most intense level of drought increased 11.14 percentage points in a week
More than 73% of Puerto Rico's territory was under some category of drought, according to the latest official map from the U.S. Drought Monitor published this Thursday, a document that maintains that a third had already reached extreme drought and that the extent of the D3 category tripled in just two weeks.
The extreme drought spread to 44.5 percent of Puerto Rico, while 75.2 percent of the territory is under some category of drought, according to the weekly update of the Drought Monitor.
