More than 200 children rescued, 350 child sex offenders arrested in one month
The monthlong FBI-led operation involved all 56 field offices and U.S. Attorney’s offices, with key arrests in several states.
Operation Iron Pursuit rescued more than 200 children and arrested more than 350 child sex offenders during April. The Buffalo FBI Field Office led key enforcement actions in the nationwide Department of Justice targeted operation.
Previous targeted enforcement operations demonstrate ongoing DOJ commitment. Operation Relentless Justice last December rescued 205 children, Operation Enduring Justice last August rescued 133, and Operation Restore Justice last May rescued 115 and arrested 205 offenders.
Key arrests included an Army Reservist in Minneapolis charged with producing CSAM while in uniform and CJ A. Wolf of Lewiston, New York, charged with enticement of a minor after confirming he had $200 for a half hour with an undercover officer.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche warned, "we are coming for you," while FBI Director Kash Patel stated the agency works "24/7 to break networks of child abusers all across this country." The FBI and law enforcement partners rescued more than 6,300 missing children last year.
To report suspected child exploitation, the DOJ urges the public to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Criminal actors who target America's children will be pursued and brought to justice.
