More Dutch people step up, taking in nearly 450 refugees as asylum centers overflow

Asylum seekers in Ter Apel had to once again sleep outside because the reception centers were full. In response, more people are taking status holders into their homes. The hosting arrangement has led to 444 matches this year, up to 18 percent from last year, partly thanks to a new pilot that compensates hosts.
