Luc Rabouin elected leader of Projet Montreal, will run for mayor in November
Luc Rabouin has been elected leader of Projet Montréal and will run for mayor in the municipal elections scheduled for November 2, 2025, succeeding Valérie Plante.
Rabouin won the leadership with 59.2% of the vote against Gracia Kasoki Katahwa, who received 40.8% during the fourth round of voting.
Valérie Plante announced she would not seek a third term, stating she could not maintain the same energy for another four years.
Soraya Martinez Ferrada, the new leader of the opposition party Ensemble Montréal, will also run for mayor, facing Rabouin in the upcoming elections.
