Monticello firefighters rescue a person and a dog from an overnight house fire

The Monticello Fire Department reports that a person and a dog were rescued from a house fire overnight on Branch Road.According to officials, upon arriving on the scene, they were able to extricate the person from the home and locate a dog trapped inside.Officials say that once rescued, the dog was provided oxygen, and the person was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.Crews were able to extinguish the fire without much damage to th…
