Hidden bank accounts? “News headlines that are absolutely false,” Montenegro says

At issue is a news report from Correio da Manhã, which says that Montenegro hid several bank accounts from the Constitutional Court (TC).

The prime minister and president of the PSD reiterated this Saturday that he did not hide any bank account and asked journalists for “rigor”, stating that he is being the subject of news with “disinformation and manipulation of facts”.

The Prime Minister said he had “three accounts in order” and that “none of them had a balance greater than 50 national minimum wages”.

“For about two months we have been confronted with a series of news stories, many of them filled in a way that I consider to correspond to misinformation and manipulation of facts, often perfectly normal and banal,” said Luís Montenegro
