RED LAKE COUNTY, Minn. — A Great Falls, Montana, woman pleaded guilty Wednesday, July 17, to theft by swindling for stealing more than $500,000 from Red Lake County Cooperative, Inc., by wire fraud. Stephanie Michele Nipp, 56, gave an Alford plea to the crime, which means she maintains her innocence but acknowledges there is enough evidence that, if she took the matter to trial, she would likely be convicted.
