ONTARIO, CANADA, JUL 7 – Mondelez Canada ends Jersey Milk bar production after nearly 100 years due to low demand and consumer shift to Cadbury Dairy Milk, spokesperson said.
Mondelez Canada Inc. is discontinuing Jersey Milk chocolate bars due to low consumer demand, according to spokesperson Pierina De Carolis.
De Carolis mentioned that consumer preferences have shifted to other milk chocolate bars like Cadbury Dairy Milk, leading to this decision.
Jersey Milk chocolate bars were exclusively produced in Canada and date back to 1924, developed by William Neilson Ltd.
De Carolis confirmed that ending production of Jersey Milk will not lead to any job cuts at the factory, which employs nearly 400 workers.
