Moldova officially opened the EU accession negotiations on Cluster 6 on 14 July in Brussels - "External Relations". The event took place in a "historical day for the enlargement of the European Union, which held four simultaneous accession conferences – a premiere since 2002. On the same day, Ukraine opened the negotiations on the same cluster, and Albania and Montenegro provisionally closed several chapters.
