The Hungarian oil company MOL has discovered a new crude oil field in Western Hungary, near the village of Somogysámson in Somogy County. ​MOL finds oil in southwest Hungary

MOL has discovered a new oil field near the southwest part of the county (Somogysamson) with a potential production capacity of 1200 barrels per day.

The oil was found last December during an exploratory drilling at a depth of 1,250 meters.
