CPI(M) leader and former Keralam Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said no repression can extinguish the resolve to defend the Constitution and the right to vote, accusing the Modi government of a "ruthless crackdown on democracy" in Delhi after being detained by police after staging a protest outside Kerala Bhawan.
Delhi Police released CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan and MPs after hours of custody; Vijayan said he is proud to participate in the protest.
