Wake County Schools to discuss cell-phone policy on Tuesday; Distraction or no?

According to district-wide feedback, 81% of families and 85% of educators said that instructional time is lost because of cell phone use.

The Wake County Board of Education's policy committee will discuss the draft Tuesday, along with survey results that show varying opinions and dissatisfaction with how cellphone restrictions are enforced.

In January, Minister of Education Streichert-Clivot had still spoken out against a mobile phone ban in schools in Saarland. Now, the Minister informed all primary school managers that a ban should be introduced after all. This is now also causing controversy among the Landtag factions.
