Mitsubishi joins Singapore firms in climate plan to close Philippine coal plant early
The aim of the initiative with Japan's Mitsubishi, Philippines' ACEN and Singapore's GenZero and Keppel is to retire ACEN's 246 megawatt coal plant in South Luzon by 2030 and replace it with renewable energy and battery storage, with some of the funding coming from transition credit sales.
