FRANCE, JUL 17 – Mistral enhances Le Chat with voice input, deep research, and multilingual reasoning to boost productivity and compete with AI leaders like OpenAI and Google, says Elisa Salamanca.
- French AI startup Mistral released new features for its chatbot Le Chat on Thursday, including a Deep Research mode and voice interaction called Voxtral.
- Mistral developed these upgrades to enhance research, communication, and organization capabilities amid competition with cloud-based rivals like OpenAI and Google.
- The update also introduces Projects for organizing chats and documents, a redesigned image editor, and multilingual reasoning across all user tiers.
- Elisa Salamanca, Mistral’s head of product, explained that the model accesses diverse online information to respond to particular queries and highlighted its smooth integration with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs.
