Magnolia DB Terrell Johnson Commits to State

Earlier in the week, Mississippi State offered a scholarship and invited Holmes County (Miss.) cornerback Terrell Johnson Jr. for an official visit. The late work paid off on Sunday. Just before he left that visit, Johnson gave the Bulldogs his commitment. Johnson didn't have many offers, but Mississippi State had seen enough to offer based on his recent camp performance. He also had FBS offers from UNLV, Louisiana-Monroe and Jacksonville State.

Mississippi State added to its 2026 class on Saturday with a commitment from Buford (Ga.) High safety Jax Pope. Pope is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back from the Peach State who held offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Pitt, and Stanford, among others.
