- On Thursday, January 22nd, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Sherburne County Sheriff's Office canceled the AMBER Alert after 7-year-old Brynlee Nelson was found safe and a suspect was taken into custody.
- Sherburne County Sheriff's Office launched a search after Brynlee Nelson disappeared getting off a school bus at the 26000 block of 13th Street West in Zimmerman around 3:55 p.m. Wednesday; a black vehicle was reported following the bus but its connection remains unclear.
- Albert Lea police say they were notified just after 12:30 a.m. of a Dodge Ram pickup tied to the AMBER alert on Interstate 35 and stopped the vehicle for investigation.
- More than 700 community members and about 200 law enforcement and fire personnel joined search efforts, and Sherburne County scheduled a 10:30 a.m. news conference urging residents to check security cameras and call 911.
- Sherburne County Sheriff’s Commander Zawacki said, `This is the kind of community that comes to help in these types of situations`, and Evans urged parents to monitor social media as the investigation continues.
