Missing Bolton teenager found safe and well, police confirm
Police thanked the public after the 13-year-old was found safe and well, ending a search that lasted more than a week.
On Saturday, Greater Manchester Police confirmed 13-year-old Lillia was found 'safe and well' in Manchester city centre, ending an eight-day search that began when she disappeared from Bolton on Friday, September 11.
Lillia went missing from her home in Bolton, sparking a major police search operation and multiple public appeals for information about the teenager's whereabouts during the week-long absence.
Police identified a sighting of Lillia at Manchester Piccadilly bus station at 10.36am on Monday, September 14, after she was seen boarding a bus from Salford before reaching the city centre.
Yesterday, Lillia's mother Jessica made a tearful public appeal for her daughter, pleading, 'Lill, I love you so so much,' as family anxiety intensified during the search.
Officers are currently with the teenager, and her next-of-kin have been informed; GMP stated they 'will release more information in due course' regarding the case.
