Miss Universe Executive Disappears Before Prison Sentencing

- On Dec. 26, Jakkapong 'Anne' Jakrajutatip, former Miss Universe co-owner, received a two-year prison sentence from the Bangkok South Kwaeng Court but remains at large after failing to appear.
- According to the court, Jakrajutatip did not appear at the Dec. 26 hearing after allegedly lying and omitting facts between July 24 and Aug. 8, 2023, to induce bond purchases.
- Surgeon Raveewat Maschamadol filed the criminal complaint alleging Jakrajutatip and JKN Global obtained 30 million baht, equal to $951,927, from the plaintiff.
- JKN Global Group Plc began defaulting on payments in late 2023 and was in debt about 3 billion baht by 2024; the Stock Exchange of Thailand delisted it and fined 40,000 baht, while the SEC accused Jakrajutatip in June 2025 of falsifying 2023 financial statements.
- Owned since 2022, JKN Global's Miss Universe pageant faced this year's issues including Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch's walkout, Miss Jamaica's injury, and a judge's resignation.
