- Misiorowski, who was called up from Nashville's Triple-A club earlier in June, faced Skenes for the first time after the latter had started the 2024 All-Star Game and entered the season as the reigning NL Rookie of the Year.
- Milwaukee put up four runs early in the game during the second frame with the bases loaded and no outs, starting with Joey Ortiz’s ground out to Skenes, followed by a bloop double, a fielder’s choice, and an RBI single to push the lead.
- Misiorowski threw 74 pitches, struck out eight, allowed two hits and two walks, lowered his ERA to 1.13, and reached a peak fastball velocity of 102.4 mph, while Skenes gave up four runs and four hits in a 37-pitch second inning.
- The game, which attracted a season-high crowd of 42,774, featured starting pitchers who collectively threw fastballs at speeds not seen together in any matchup since at least 2009, and it caused Skenes’ career ERA to increase from 1.91 to 2.03.
