- Minogue, the former CEO of Abiomed, promised to eliminate 'waste and fraud' and repeal the MBTA Communities Act, vowing to end programs making Massachusetts a destination for people immigrating illegally.
- Delegates also endorsed Anne Brensley for lieutenant governor with 1,100 votes, while cryptocurrency attorney John Deaton secured the party's nomination to face U.S. Senator Ed Markey.
- Republican candidates now advance to the Sept. 1 primary election, where the winner will challenge Democratic Governor Maura Healey in the November general election.
