Minecraft World to open at Chessington World of Adventures

On Saturday at Minecraft Live 2026, Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments announced Minecraft World, a permanent Greater London theme park opening in 2027 inside Chessington World of Adventures.
Mojang and Merlin are partnering to translate Minecraft into a physical destination, with executives saying the movie's success inspired creating immersive in-real-life attractions.
Planned attractions include a world-first Minecraft roller coaster, epic block-built playscapes, themed retail and dining, within a 50 million budget.
Company statements say the park will let friends and families play, explore and craft together while generating revenue through themed retail and dining, positioning Chessington as a major destination in 2027.
Alongside the park, short-term activations include a May pop-up and the Tiny Takeover update arriving on March 24, with the movie sequel set for July 23, 2027.
