The State College community is mourning the loss of Mimi Barash Coppersmith, a renowned businesswoman and philanthropist who passed away yesterday at 92. Coppersmith founded the magazine Town&Gown in 1966, and her death was confirmed by the publication last evening. She was a fixture in the community, and was dedicated to both it and Penn State University. A celebration of her life is expected to be held later this fall.
