Millions of Sky customers can now access a new TV channel — here’s what it is
Millions of Sky customers with a Sky Cinema subscription can now watch Disney+ Cinema on channel 305, including some films available without a Disney+ subscription.
- Today, Sky announced the addition of Disney+ Cinema on channel 305, giving UK Sky customers access to hit movies.
- A new multi-year agreement between Sky and Disney brings Disney+ Originals and blockbusters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and other brands onto Sky platforms in the UK.
- Viewers with a Sky Cinema subscription can access Disney+ Cinema by opening the Sky app, clicking Subscriptions, and existing Disney+ customers can move accounts to Sky Q, Sky Glass, or Sky Stream.
- Sky customers without a Disney+ subscription can watch films on Disney+ Cinema for free, as Karl Holmes said that it opens a substantial new audience for content creators and advertisers.
- Promotional imagery accompanied the rollout, and Sky TV customers see an in-app subscription prompt where you will then be asked to sign up for Disney+ access.
