Military chief defends UK response to Middle East conflict

The UK military has increased regional presence with over 400 personnel and aircraft in Cyprus and is preparing HMS Dragon to depart Portsmouth within days, officials said.

  • On Saturday, US B-1 Lancer bombers capable of carrying 24 cruise missiles arrived at RAF Fairford, with three more aircraft arriving on Saturday, and forces sent to Cyprus included over 400 personnel, Typhoon jets, and F-35 jets.
