In a statement, President Milei called "the entire political leadership to pause in other discussions and give top priority" to the issue, the official initiative called "Law on the Defense of National Sovereignty" entered Parliament in the last few hours to be dealt with by legislators.
The initiative expands prohibitions for companies and suppliers, includes millions of fines calculated in crude and allows sentences of up to two decades for oil extraction without Argentine permission
