Amorim Welcomes Pulisic’s Frustration and Hints at Minutes for AC Milan This Weekend – WTOP News
Amorim said the American star is upset after three straight benchings and should play against Lazio before Europa League matches begin.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Christian Pulisic will make his 2026-27 season debut for Milan against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, manager Ruben Amorim confirmed on Friday.
Amorim explained that the 27-year-old Pulisic has been recovering from a World Cup injury and a training knock, returning to training in mid-August.
While Pulisic remained sidelined, 19-year-old Alphadjo Cisse scored twice in Milan's opening three games. Amorim noted Pulisic is 'upset' about his lack of minutes, stating, 'I really like that in my players.'
The Rossoneri begin Europa League play next week, initiating eight weeks with three games per week, where Amorim insists Pulisic remains one of Milan's most important players.
Emphasizing his management approach, Amorim stated, 'This is my way of managing the group, and I'll die with these principles,' reiterating that Pulisic is important and will play many games.
