Middlesboro Elementary earns national STEM certification

Middlesboro Elementary School is now a nationally certified STEM campus. The school held a celebration of that achievement on Tuesday with Superintendent Bill Jones, District Educational Mentor Judy Grandey and Elementary STEM Coordinator Danielle Wilson, who is now the principal at MES. Middlesboro Independent Superintendent Bill Jones brings more focus on STEM to the district

No stranger to taking the lead, Jones has more than 50 years of combined military and educational leadership experience. He served with distinction in the United States Army from 1973 to 1993, ultimately attaining the rank of first sergeant. He then served more than three decades in public education.
