LinkedIn Names Insider Daniel Shapero as New CEO

Dan Shapero takes over LinkedIn as Microsoft expands AI features and Roslansky stays on as executive vice president, the company said.

  • On Wednesday, Microsoft named Chief Operating Officer Daniel Shapero as LinkedIn's new CEO, effective immediately, succeeding Ryan Roslansky after six years.
  • Under Roslansky, LinkedIn's membership grew to 1.3 billion from about 700 million members, while annual revenue climbed from roughly $8 billion to more than $17 billion.
