Mickey Rourke trying to return GoFundMe donations
- On Friday, Mickey Rourke denounced a GoFundMe as `scam`, saying his attorney is returning over $90,000 to donors.
- Last week the campaign launched after reports Mickey Rourke, actor, was served a notice to vacate his Beverly Grove home and aimed to cover about $60,000 in back rent.
- In a Jan. 6 video, Mickey Rourke called the fundraiser `humiliating` and a `vicious cruel lie`, saying he `would never ask strangers or fans for a nickel` and thanking Dana White and Bill `Superfoot` Wallace.
- His team paused the campaign after he said he didn't want the money, and the page was taken down as more than a dozen related campaigns appeared online.
- On Jan. 6, Kimberly Hines said she and her assistant ran the idea past Mickey Rourke's assistant and approved it, and Rourke has received four movie offers since yesterday.
