- Chamber footage shows at least five lawmakers elbowing, slapping and trying to remove rivals as spectators and lawmakers recording on phones prompted a temporary suspension of the session.
- After the brawl, the PAN delegation left the chamber and the ruling coalition resumed debate, then approved transparency reforms without opposition, Congress of Mexico City social media posts showed.
- The clash occurred during debate over the transparency agency as Morena spokesman Paulo Garcia accused the opposition of violence, while PAN lawmaker Ms Daniela Alvarez called the majority's actions vulgar and lamentable.
