The agreement between Section 65 of the National Mining Union and the Mexican government is good news. A settlement plan was reached that includes severance pay for 650 miners in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, including 53 widows; health coverage; access to a pension; and the possibility of returning to work. After 18 years of strike action, the demands of the mine workers will finally be met, stated Senator Lorenia Valles.
