Meta Buys Eight-Month-Old Startup Stilla to Power Its AI Messaging Agent
Axios reported on September 9 that Meta has acquired Stilla.ai, a Stockholm AI agent startup founded by ex-Shopify executives, folding its team into Meta Business Agent. The system already handles customer chats and transactions for over one million businesses on WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.

The Swedish AI company Stilla, founded by Siavash Ghorbani and Kaj Drobin, is being acquired by Facebook owner Meta, the company writes in a press release.
Meta would have acquired the Swedish startup Stilla.ai to strengthen its artificial intelligence business agent, a tool that seeks to turn conversations into sales within WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
