Murder trial for Mercer County man begins

PRINCETON – Jury selection took place and opening arguments were heard Tuesday for the trial of a Mercer County man charged with first-degree murder.

Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – A trial is underway in Mercer County for a man accused of killing a woman in 2023. The murder trial of Charles Lee Dawson of Bluefield is being tried in relation to the death of 32-year-old Keri Michelle Billings, 32, also of Bluefield. According to the sheriff’s department, Billings died from a single gunshot wound. The First-Degree Murder case is being heard by Circuit Judge Mark Wills.The post Mercer County murder t…
